Project Overview
In response to persistent flooding challenges in Mwanza City, this project focused on developing an efficient drainage network that enhances the city’s resilience to heavy rains. The works included the construction of reinforced concrete drainage channels, culverts, and other flood mitigation structures strategically placed across urban hotspots. By improving water flow and reducing surface flooding, the project safeguarded infrastructure, reduced road damage, and improved the quality of life for residents. It also supported urban growth and economic activities by ensuring the city remains accessible during rainy seasons.
